Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his two sons are responsible for the Sh 3.7 billion mosquito net scam at Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), according to Azimio One Kenya Alliance party leader Raila Odinga.
At the Jubilee Party’s National Delegates Conference on Monday, Raila said that the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration is a “brothel of corruption,” with President William Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, serving as its high priests.
He argued that if Ruto is serious about fighting corruption, he should dismiss his deputy, who was intimately connected to the Kemsa scandal.
According to reliable sources, Gachagua wanted his two sons to receive the contract to provide 10.3 million mosquito nets, but Global Fund expressed concerns and rejected the bidding since one of the companies chosen was not authorized to do business in Kenya.
The business was connected to Kelvin and Keith Gachagua, the two sons of Gachagua.
