They are false, cruel, and callous – SAINT OBI’s family dismisses charges that he suffered during his marriage to wife, LYNDA.

The charges made by filmmaker Zik Zulu that dead actor Obinna Nwafor’s wife Lynda mistreated him throughout their marriage have been referred to by the actor’s family as “false, malicious, and insensitive.”

Zik Zulu said in a piece he wrote two days ago that Obi and Lynda’s marriage was primarily strained.

Shortly after his marriage, he claimed that Saint Obi withdrew from everyone, including his colleagues in the film profession.

He claimed that because Obi’s wife is a high-ranking employee of a telecommunications company, his inlaws always fought with him and thought he was a golddigger.

His admission startled many followers, and some of them attacked Lynda personally on social media.

The family, however, distanced themselves from Zik Zuku’s assertions in a statement that was signed by his older sisters, Ugoeze Edith Chinyere Obichuku and Mrs. Freda Nwachukwu.

The charges, according to the family, are untrue, spiteful, and cruel, and they in no way reflect the Lynda they are familiar with.

Below, you may read a press release from Obi’s family.

ASK MR. OBINNA NWAFOR ABOUT THE DEMISE OF SAINT OBI

Our attention has been directed to an article written by Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor on the passing of our son, Mr. Obinna Nwafor, also known as Saint Obi, and the unfavorable commentary that followed in social media and other outlets that unfairly and maliciously portrayed his widow.

In no way, shape, or form does this represent the Lynda that we know and identify with.

The Nwafor family also finds the aforementioned article by Mr. Okafor to be sad and regrettable. It was not written with the family’s approval or input, nor was it written with our consent.

We distance ourselves from it entirely.

The author’s opinions are solely expressed in the statements and accusations made therein. They are untrue, ill-intentioned, and cruel to the wife, kids, and rest of the family he left behind.

The family is in a time of mourning, so while we appreciate the sympathy of friends, admirers, and well-wishers, we ask that their privacy be observed at this time.

Public notification of the burial ceremonies will come in due order.

We pray for eternal peace for the soul of our cherished brother, son, father, and husband. Amen. Signed,

Edith Ugoeze Chinyere Obichuku Elder Sister (Jos, Nigeria): Mrs. Freda Nwachukwu, Texas, U.S.
