In a weird event in South Sudan, a sheep was judged guilty of killing a 45-year-old lady and sentenced to three years in jail.
After attacking and injuring Adhieu Chaping’s ribs, the ram was brought into police custody. Adhieu Chaping died as a result of his injuries.
According to local21news, police Chief Major Elijah Mabor said, “The ram attacked by striking her ribs, and the old woman died immediately.”
“As cops, our job is to keep people safe and separate fights.” The ram has been arrested and is being held at a police station.”
The animal was also found guilty of murder and will spend three years in a military camp, according to the police chief.
When asked why they couldn’t put the sheep’s owner in jail instead of the animal, the officer said that the owner was judged not guilty of the offense but the animal was entirely accountable.
“The owner is innocent, and the ram is the one who committed the crime, therefore it deserves to be detained,” the officer stated, according to local media. “The matter will then be submitted to conventional court, where the situation may be settled peacefully.”
The owner of the sheep, Duony Manyang Dhal, was ordered by the court to provide five cows to the orphanage.
