Toke Makinwa, a media celebrity, has spoken candidly about the effects of her harrowing robbery experience.
Three days after attending Rita Dominic, a Nollywood actress, and her husband’s wedding in North Yorkshire, England, the businesswoman stated that she had been robbed of her possessions in London.
On Thursday, December 1, she posted a video to her Instagram account describing the incident as the most painful experience she has ever experienced. She also said that watching the CCTV tape is heartbreaking.
“I sincerely appreciate all of your calls and texts. Probably the most upsetting situation I’ve ever gone through, and seeing the CCTV of the robbery is heartbreaking, but thank God no one was hurt physically,” she stated.
“Material goods can and will always be replaced, no matter how expensive. I’m grateful that’s all it took. Although it wasn’t how I had hoped to start the month of December, life is lived and understood both ahead and backward. One day it will all make sense, she continued.
