I’ve learned from family and friends that Sharon Njeri Mwangi was clinically depressed. Her mental health problems allegedly began during the Covid-19 confinement, according to her pals.
The duo was doing well before Covid as they helped the Lamba Lolo brand gain popularity. When Covid struck, the whole hotel sector—including the entertainment sector—collapsed, which had an impact on the couple’s financial security.
According to many who knew her, Sharon was a dedicated woman who stepped in for her partner and took care of their needs, including food, housing, and school costs. To reduce costs, she even relocated the family to a less expensive home in Kariobangi South. She even took out a loan at one point to pay off her partner’s obligations.
Sharon helped her mother, who was having difficulties, as well as her other parents back at home. After Covid, the DJ began landing performances at a well-liked establishment along Thika Road, and soon after that, he began landing lucrative deals.
As money began to flow, the DJ rented a house along Thika Road for his mistress so that he could spend time away from his family. The person on the receiving end was the woman who had supported him through thick and thin.
Even while on vacation in Diani, he would publish ostentatious pictures online as Sharon fought to make ends meet.
The DJ’s numerous girlfriends began making fun of her and messaging her declaring their love for him. This devastated Sharon, turning the vivacious and devoted lady into a shell of who she once was.
Family and acquaintances claim that Sharon wasn’t suicidal prior to these events. When the DJ began to treat her disrespectfully, which at one point resulted in a breakup, despair crept in.
Sharon told in a close friend that she stepped in for her partner when things became difficult because she loved her children so much and wanted her marriage to succeed. She adored Papa, the DJ’s son, as much as she did her firstborn from a previous relationship.
The DJ had come the morning of the day Sharon committed suicide as she and the house girl were getting the kids ready for school, a few minutes after 7:00 a.m. The previous night, Sharon had consumed alcohol, which led to an argument when the DJ got home early in the morning.
Sharon was already mentally unstable, and she had planned to commit suicide. The DJ had the chance to stop her from killing herself, but he instead to stand by and observe. The DJ is allegedly very abusive and conceited, and the neighbors didn’t step in until the housekeeper began yelling for assistance.
The DJ seemed unaffected even then, and when Sharon’s daughter began to scream as well, the neighbors realized something was wrong. Ten minutes after she collapsed, the DJ began to appear preoccupied and began frantically racing up and down the aisles in an effort to help her.
A close friend claims that one of the women who posted screenshots describing Sharon as toxic, difficult, dramatic, and preoccupied was one of the women who mocked Sharon as she descended into depression.
Whichever version of the events you choose to believe or support, the fact remains that Sharon was a dedicated and loving mother who passed away dishonorably.
