Odion Ighalo, a former United striker, was named to the Saudi Arabia Professional Football League Team of the Season.
On Wednesday, June 7, the Saudi League football association presented the Best X1 of the 2022–23 campaign.
Ighalo, 33, had 19 goals for Al Hilal, which lost to Al Ittihad to lose their league title.
He was the sole member of Al Hilal to make the list, and he did so after helping Al Hilal win the championship the previous year.
Ighalo scored 24 goals last season.
In the wake of his contract expiring, he already left the team.
Despite his star power and 14 goals in 19 games since joining the club in January following a contentious split from Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Al Nassr, was not selected for the team.
