Popular Mama Mboga Pauline Waithira has changed her story just a day after claiming that President William Ruto abandoned her despite her endorsement of his administration in the run-up to the 2022 General Election.
Waithira refuted charges that she was ‘used and dumped’ by President William Ruto in a video uploaded by Chief Administrative Secretary for ICT Dennis Itumbi yesterday.
According to her, the Daily Nation newspaper’s story suggesting that she was suffering after Ruto abandoned her despite being the face of his bottom-up efforts is incorrect.
She stated that an unknown person approached her while she was at her stall and photographed her without her permission.
Waithira expressed her displeasure with accusations that she had been used and dumped by the Kenya Kwanza government.
“I’m irritated; I’m not sure who called him and said I had a problem; Ruto is not a child.” He should have abused me instead of President Ruto since he is unaware of my relationship with Ruto and why I like him,” Waithira stated.
She claimed that in 2022, the President offered her Sh300,000 after accompanying him to Bomas to deposit his papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
“Thanks to President Ruto, my child has never been expelled from school, I have never gone hungry, and my house has never been closed due to a lack of funds.”
“It is ridiculous to imply that Ruto does not assist me. “When we were in Bomas, Ruto gave me Sh300,000,” she claimed.
