After unable to find work, a 26-year-old ICT graduate committed suicide in Chepsangor, Nandi County.

Michael Kibet, the dead, graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in 2021 with First Class honors.

He enrolled in the Juja-based institution after receiving a ‘A’ in his KCSE exams.

Kibet had intended to find work soon after graduating at the top of his class.

However, after two years of tarmacking, he got sad.

Kibet was living with his mother, a retired nurse and single mother who has been raising her children on her own since her husband’s death.

According to Area Chief David Rugut, the deceased hanged himself outside his brother’s house out of despair.
