Gathoni Wamuchomba, a member of parliament from Githunguri, has asked Mt. Kenya region legislators to be honest with President William Ruto over the Finance Bill 2023.
Following controversial attorney Miguna Miguna’s call for the President to rescind the finance bill 2023, Wamuchomba, a supporter of the bill, asked other Mount Kenya MPs and Senators to speak out against the bill and stop becoming Ruto’s acolytes in a Facebook post.
“Miguna, you are entirely correct. An accurate reflection of the ground, imechemka! Please identify the Hon sycophants whose minds have apparently relocated to the home on the hill, remarked Wamuchomba.
Ndindi Nyoro, a Kiharu member of parliament, and Kimani Ichung’wah, a Kikuyu member of parliament, have both received warnings from their constituents not to vote the contentious tax hike bill.
Constituents in Kiharu and Kikuyu cautioned the two MPs that if they supported the law being promoted by President William Ruto and his economic experts, terrible consequences would follow.
