According to the Egyptian Public Prosecution, the lady who is accused of using a machete to kill her five-year-old kid and then cooking and consuming a portion of his head is not mentally ill.

Hanaa Mohamed Hassan, 29, the suspect, has been brought before the criminal court where she will be tried for the planned murder of her son, Youssef.

According to recent reports, the suspect fatally struck her victim in the head three times with the murder weapon.

According to earlier reports, the suspected crime was uncovered last month at the family home in Abu Shalabi, Ash Sharqiyah Governorate, when Youssef’s shocked uncle discovered body parts in buckets.

The inquiry found that Hassan killed Youssef in order to prevent her ex-husband and his family from getting in touch with him or going after her in court for visitation rights.

According to the investigation, Hassan was of sound mind and hadn’t taken any narcotics or prescriptions that would have affected her mental state.

Police officials were surprised when Hassan confessed to eating a portion of her son’s head after her arrest because she “wanted him to stay with her forever.”

Local media at the time quoted Hassan’s ex-husband, H.A., as saying: “When I arrived, the police prevented me from seeing my son because of the horrific scene.”

We split up four years ago because she wanted me to leave the house and my family and move in with her so they could live on the land. He explained: “She had land from her father.

I tried to make up with her after the divorce, but she refused and insisted on her viewpoint. As a result, the relationship terminated totally at her request.

My son was the one who kept me in touch with her, and I used to visit him frequently and bring him clothes and other necessities, H.A. continued.

But more recently, she has been working to keep him away from me and instill resentment in his heart so he won’t approach me.

“I was trying to reach her family to see my son and make sure he was alright,” she said.

Samir Mohamed Saleh, his attorney, claims that Hassan was expressionless when the woman in Faqous told the police: “I wanted to free him and myself.”

“I wanted to be free and exact vengeance on his father.” His father keeps showing up and attempting to remove him.
