A father who is accused of killing his three-month-old daughter and whose body was discovered in the woods has expressed regret after his own father called the police on him.

After learning that his daughter Genevieve Comager’s lifeless body had been found in the woods not far from a homeless shelter in Brooklyn, New York, on May 28, Damion Comager, 23, was detained in the 44th Precinct of the New York Police Department.

The Daily Mail said that while Damion was being carried away, he said, “I loved her, I’m sorry.”

Donald Comager, 47, decided to “do the right thing” after visiting with a priest and deciding to report his granddaughter’s death to authorities.

He informed me that the infant was crying a lot. Donald described Damion’s crying to the New York Post on Monday.

He claimed to have simply shaken her and put her to sleep before going to bed himself.

He stood up and reached for her, but she was cold and stiff. Panicked him. He said to his partner, “I think she’s dead.”

On Monday, May 29, Damion was accused of concealing a corpse and murder.

Ivana Paolozzi, Genevieve’s mother, was also detained and is now facing charges of concealing a corpse and impeding official operations.

On May 14, when his kid wouldn’t stop crying, Damion acknowledged shaking and striking her. He apparently feared getting into problems for the marks on Genevieve’s neck if he took her to a hospital when she was unconscious.

The sources claimed that Genevieve’s body was discovered in a bag after being abandoned in a wooded area for more than two weeks.

Donald claimed Damian informed him over the phone that “they put the baby in a book bag and took her to the wooded area.”

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
