Five counts of rape against one lady in the two years prior to his joining the service have been brought against a former Metropolitan Police constable in court today.

The victim is said to have been sexually assaulted between 13 March 2018 and 1 August 2020 by ex-PC Jade Ebanks, 29, of north London, who left the force in April of this year.

According to reports, two of the actions happened in Uxbridge, Hillingdon, while three of them happened in Greenford, Ealing.

In June 2021, PC Ebanks joined the Met and began patrolling Brent neighborhoods. On May 5 of last year, he was detained before his employment was terminated.

On April 28 of this year, a week before being accused, he resigned.

Putting on a black suit and slender tie for his appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Ebanks spoke simply to confirm his name and birthdate.

Prior to a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for June 28 at Isleworth Crown Court, he was granted bail.

‘The offences that you face are ones that I can’t deal with, I have to refer them to the Crown Court,’ District Judge Briony Clarke told Ebanks.

Ebanks, of Kilburn in northwest London, was given bail with the restriction that he not make any contact with the complainant in this instance, either directly or indirectly.
