A guy has denied fatally stabbing a rugby player and seven other people in front of a Cornwall nightclub.
Michael Allen, 32, was allegedly murdered by Jake Hill, 24, in Victoria Square, Bodmin, next to the Eclipse.
In addition, he faces charges for two counts of intentionally causing serious bodily harm to five additional persons and three counts of attempted murder.
During his brief appearance before Truro Crown Court this morning, Hill, of Jubilee Terrace, Bodmin, simply confirmed his identity and denied the allegations.
Judge Simon Carr remanded Hill in jail and scheduled a trial for November 6.
At around 3.15 am on April 30, emergency services were contacted in response to reports of a guy brandishing a knife and several people who appeared to have been stabbed.
One of the largest reserve units in the British Army, the 165 Port and Maritime Regiment RLC, has its headquarters directly across from the nightclub.
Mr. Allen, a former player for the Bodmin Rugby Club, passed away there, and seven other individuals were hurt and transported to the hospital.
A beloved son, brother, grandson, and uncle who adored dogs, Mr. Allen was described by his family as such.
