Detectives detained Azimio Youth Leader Calvin Okoth nicknamed Gaucho on Monday in Nairobi.
The cause for his arrest is unknown. Police have been seeking for him since Saturday, it was revealed.
Teams were formed and sent to seek for him. Gaucho turned off his cellphones and went into hiding.
Gaucho had arrived outside City Hall and was chatting with his fans when three undercover cops approached and requested him to accompany them.
The officers escorted him to a waiting blue Subaru and drove away. Gaucho was shocked by the maneuver and obedient to the directions.
Gaucho, a devotee of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga, has been arrested for the second time in a week.
He was seized and jailed overnight at Muthangari police station last week before being released with no charges on May 23, 2023.
