President William Ruto has guaranteed Kenyans that no public funds will be wasted under his presidency.

Ruto stated at KRA offices in Nairobi after filing his yearly returns that Kenyans demand exceptional services and that he will guarantee that public funds are used for the appropriate purpose.

“My office shall be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the use of public funds,” Ruto stated.

The head of state encouraged his government to do far more to instill public trust in its ability and willingness to handle public resources in an honest, efficient, transparent, and responsible manner.

Ruto also stated that he will walk the walk in terms of removing corrupt officials from his administration.

“It is required by the Constitution, the law, and basic decency.” “I don’t want to dwell on this for too long because, historically, so much has been said but so little has been done in slaying the dragon of government corruption,” he remarked.

Ruto spoke even as the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) continues to embezzle billions of shillings and the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) faces a Sh 17 billion scandal.
