On Thursday, controversial preacher Paul Mackenzie’s residence was visited by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki as the second round of autopsies on 129 victims recovered from Shakahola Forest began.
He resided in a home with grass thatching.
Inside the run-down home, Kindiki could be seen standing next to a white chair.
He disclosed that despite radicalizing his troops to starve to death, Mackenzie had built irrigation dams and was cultivating a variety of food crops.
According to Kindiki, the rescue operations at Shakahola Forest would go on as normal.
To enable the ground troops to search the vast forest and work together with the team conducting aerial surveillance to ensure that any individual still holed up in the thickets is rescued, the government will build security roads.
