Renowned Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has urged Azimio leader Raila Odinga to organize demonstrations from Monday to Friday to ensure the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government does not have enough money to fund its extravagant budget.
Speaking to YouTubers, the entertainer argued that more protests should be held to send a message to the government that ordinary citizens are suffering.
No business, according to Eric, should continue until the government addresses the skyrocketing cost of living.
“I’d like to make an appeal to Raila Amollo Odinga.” Monday through Friday, hold protests. So that we can take a day off on every working day. “There should be no business,” Eric stated.
Eric stated that, despite the current high cost of living, top government officials continue to receive large sums of money to purchase luxury cars.
“Deputy President Rigathi Gachugua said they are losing billions due to demonstrations, but today they have been given Sh 802 million to buy cars.
“Demonstrations should be held every day so that the government can suffer as Kenyans do,” he said.
