President William Ruto has stated that his administration will not tolerate anyone advancing economic sabotage for personal gain.
This comes after Azimio Leader Raila Odinga declared weekly protests against the Kenya Kwanza government to begin next week on Monday and Thursday until his demands are met.
However, during the listing of Laptrust Imara (REIT) on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Ruto vowed that he would never accept any more nonsense from Raila Odinga in the name of fighting for the common man.
Raila, he said, is an economic saboteur out to disrupt the economy for selfish reasons, and that enough is enough.
The President vowed to deal with Raila harshly but within the bounds of the law.
“There is no reason whatsoever for anyone to stand in the way of free enterprise, disrupt businesses or sabotage economic activity, or work as economic terrorists for personal selfish interests.
“Such impunity must be dealt with firmly and fully accountable must be enforced in order to vindicate Kenya’s commitment as a free market economy,” Ruto said.
