After former Prime Minister Raila Odinga staged a series of mass protests on Monday, President William Ruto has finally spoken.

Raila, accompanied by Senior Azimio One Kenya Alliance leaders, marched to Nairobi, where he led a massive protest against the high cost of living.

Ugly scenes were seen in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Migori counties, where businesses were brought to a halt and some were looted by goons.

Ruto stated in Nairobi on Wednesday that no one is above the law when it comes to property destruction.

In an apparent dig at Raila Odinga, the Head of State stated that there was no reason for anyone to obstruct free enterprise, disrupt business, or sabotage economic activity for personal gain.

“To vindicate Kenya’s commitments as a free market economy, such impunity must be dealt with firmly and with full accountability enforced,” Ruto said.
