In Sydney, Australia, a woman lost her life after her husband unintentionally ran over her in a church parking lot.
Around 9.30 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 19, the 70-year-old woman was dropped off at the Castle Hill Baptist Church, where she led a bible study group.
The 70-year-old woman’s husband, who was operating the vehicle, is not believed to have suffered any injuries in the collision, which was observed by another congregant.
At the scene, the woman was declared dead, and her husband was brought to Westmead Hospital for further testing.
As of yet, nobody has been taken into custody.
This was a “very terrible” accident, Pastor Ian Deane told reporters there.
She was an avid churchgoer, and the person who saw it was also an enthusiastic churchgoer, so it was horrible and terribly sad, he added.
