Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio movement, has warned President William Ruto’s government not to try anything stupid during his much-anticipated mass action on Monday, March 20 in Nairobi.

Raila claimed in Likoni, Mombasa County, that he was threatened by Interior CS Kithure Kindiki.

He also claimed that the police were planning to disrupt his mass action to put pressure on President William Ruto to lower the cost of living.

“Kindiki, you’ll recognize me because the CS is threatening me,” Raila claimed.

He did, however, assure his supporters that he would continue to protest if Ruto did not comply with his demands.

“We gave the government an ultimatum and demanded that they reduce the cost of living, but they did not listen.”

“Instead, they raised taxes without lowering the price of basic commodities,” Raila pointed out.

Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua expressed similar sentiments, warning Kindiki against using the police to disrupt the planned mass action.

“If police injure anyone during the protest, you will pay,” Karua warned the Interior Secretary.
