The National Police Service should not be utilized by the government to obstruct the ongoing protests organized by leaders of the Azimio One Kenya Alliance, according to Martha Karua, the chairwoman of Narc Kenya.

Karua reminded the police that they experience the same issues as ordinary Kenyans while speaking to a protest in Migori on Friday.

According to Karua, the police in Kenya are struggling to survive the difficult economic times, just like the rest of the population.

The head of Narc Kenya claimed that when visiting stores, the police made purchases at the same prices as the general public and that they do not receive a discount.

Don’t frighten us. Police officers, you have the same issues as regular citizens. There is no discounted maize flour for law enforcement personnel.

She claimed that the corn flour being purchased by the police was also being purchased by ordinary Kenyans.
