During an intelligence-led operation, detectives from the Economic and Commercial Crimes Unit recovered a shipment of fake KRA stamps that had been shipped into the country and arrested one suspect.

The counterfeit stamps, which were believed to have been imported into the country on March 7, 2023, were discovered in a warehouse in Eastleigh, near Pumwani in Nairobi.

They included 6 rolls of 24,000 KRA counterfeit stamps each.

Alice Agnes Nyathira Mburu, believed to be the owner, was apprehended and detained at Muthaiga police station pending arraignment.
