Robert Onyango Alai, the Kileleshwa Ward MCA, has pleaded with Amani National Congress (ANC) and Ford Kenya party officials and supporters not to disband their organizations and join the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The affiliate parties connected to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration have been urged by UDA, led by President William Ruto, to disband their organizations and establish a massive coalition that will “unify” the nation.

While Ford Kenya, led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, has remained ambivalent about the proposal, the ANC, led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, has already stated that it will not fold.

Alai, a well-known blogger who responded to the action, pleaded with parties not to submit, predicting that UDA would soon disintegrate.

Gentlemen, hold off on joining UDA. Opportunities for politics exist outside of UDA. Soon, UDA will be a major circus. Don’t give up your career for instant gratification, Alai said on Twitter.
