President William Ruto’s administration will pursue legal action against the friends of former President Uhuru Kenyatta who stole Sh 24 billion before ceding office in August of last year, according to United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malala.
Malala stated that the “well-known” people will be detained after Vice President Rigathi Gachagua makes the report public in an interview with NTV on Monday night.
“Once they are discovered, we will pursue them; we are not just disclosing their identities; they will be detained.
Malala declared, “We shall not spare them, even if they flee or hide that money since we know some have started to worry.
On Sunday, DP Gachagua committed to identify the specific state officials who are accused of stealing billions before ceding power.
“These people stole from the country. I shall inform Kenyans of the billions of shillings that were stolen from public coffers during the final three months of the Uhuru administration in the coming days, together with the ministers and PSs accountable.
Money was being delivered in sacks, loaded onto airplanes, and transported to various residences at the police air wing at Wilson Airport, according to Gachagua.
