According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo dispatched a plane full of care packages to quake victims in Turkey and Syria.
The Portuguese captain provided support for individuals impacted by the tragedy in the region by purchasing tents, food packages, pillows, blankets, beds, baby food, milk, and medical supplies. The products have been delivered to both Syria and Turkey. This donation is valued at $350,000 according to Marca.
Ahead of time, Turkish footballer Merih Demiral disclosed that he had Ronaldo’s permission to sell off one of his autographed jerseys from his collection, with the proceeds going to the earthquake victims.
“Cristiano and I just chatted. He expressed his sadness over what had occurred in Turkey. Ronaldo’s autographed jersey from my collection is up for auction. “The earthquake zone will receive all earnings from the sale,” Demiral stated on Twitter.
A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck on February 6 in southern Turkey, close to Syria’s northern border. A magnitude 7.5 earthquake, located about 59 miles (95 kilometers) to the southwest, was felt nine hours after this one.
Ronaldo has made similar substantial donations in the past.
The AL-Nassr FC forward previously gave $165,000 to assist fund a cancer center in Portugal and $83,000 to cover a child’s brain surgery.
