GACHAGUA now challenges MATIANG’I to return to Kenya if he is a man enough to do so

Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, according to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua (DCI)

Gachagua called Matiang’i a coward for fleeing the country for the United Kingdom during a rally yesterday.

He stated that the former CS flew to avoid answering police questions about a suspected raid on his Karen house on February 8.

Gachagua advised former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ally to heed the summons, as did most Kenya Kwanza leaders who were allegedly harassed by Uhuru’s rule.

“He was summoned to record a short statement, but he chose to run. “Didn’t I say these individuals were cowards?”

“They pursued us before the elections, but did we run? “They arrested me, confiscated our possessions, and we stayed,” the DP said.

He, on the other hand, insisted that the Kenya Kwanza administration will not utilize the police to attack opponents before and during the 2022 General Election.

“Matiang’i experiences hallucinations. He envisioned the cops apprehending him. He assumed we would send the cops after him, like they had done to us.

“He (Matiang’i) might have asked me at DCI to teach him how to compose a statement,” he explained.

But, Matiang’i’s lawyer, Danstan Omari, claims that the former CS travelled to the UK to attend to family problems.

He said the former CS would return to the country in two weeks.
