Rio Ferdinand and Kate Ferdinand are expecting a girl. Rio is a Manchester United great.
The former TOWIE star, 31, and the ex-footballer, 44, announced in January that they were expecting their second child, a daughter. They expressed excitement over the impending arrival.
Kate and football player Rio wed in 2019. They already have a baby together named Cree, two, and she is Rio’s stepmother to his three kids, Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and Tia, 11.
Recently, the family held a gender reveal party, but Rio later confessed that everything went awry when Kate choked on a cupcake.
The reality personality announced: “It’s a girl guys – we are so pleased we’re having a girl.” She claimed both parents and Lorenz had accurately predicted the gender before learning.
We both made the same guess. Lorenz anticipated that.
I knew it was a girl, but I truly wanted a female, Rio remarked as she and Kate broke the news on their podcast, Blended. At first, I was interested in boys. I desired that Cree be a boy.
“That’s me, five, I’m done.”
After eating two cupcakes each, the couple explained how they came to the decision to tell their family the gender.
Rio, though, noted that everything went wrong because it was a typical Ferdinand home gender reveal.
That was chaos, as Kate remarked. There were 12 cakes, so we could all eat one. Rio had actually thought of this. Only one of them contained the color. Therefore, each of us had two cakes. teeny cupcakes.
It’s quite challenging to find something that works for everyone because the ages of the children range widely.
Rio, who typically promised to arrive home from work at 5.30 p.m., showed up at eight, leaving Cree weary.
Cree goes to bed around 7.30, and it’s now eight, so we’re already off to a slightly sleepy day.
We’re just going to record it for memory, said Rio, and after that, everyone took a piece of one of the first six cupcakes. Since none of them had the color, it was either pink or blue, boy or girl.
Then everyone starts shouting, and because it is so loud, Cree in the midst starts crying hysterically because he is afraid.
The other children are also very thrilled; they are shouting and screaming. As a result, we all become tranquil.
Then Rio continued, “We were all getting ready to take the second bite of the second cupcake, and it was definitely going to be the pink or blue when you bite it then. But Cree couldn’t wait and went to bite it before we were all ready. Then Tate went “No, no, no,” and that scared the life out of him.
He was shouting before disappearing.
Lorenz is not the favorite child, despite what Tate and Tia believe, according to Kate. “Lorenz is going to get the cake,” they declared. Each person selected their own cake. Who will receive the colored cake?
Lorenz receives it, then we all participated, and Lorenz ultimately received the pink cupcake, Rio retorted. After then, everything became chaotic and crazy. Then Kate makes the decision to steal the show and almost dies after choking on the cupcake.
Everyone believes it’s a fix, Cree is wailing once more, and he is inconsolable, Kate said.
I hadn’t swallowed the cake because I was so happy that it was a girl, but when Cree started screaming, I rushed to check on him and that’s when the cake got stuck in my throat. No one in the family gave a damn.
I was actually choking to death. I had no drink, so someone had to whack me over the back. And you were all simply minding your own thing, sipping tropical fruit straight from the refrigerator.
I was actively choking for at least two minutes, yet nobody seemed to notice.
