Human pathology expert Zakayo Limiri Thaimuta has now revealed that Jacob Ocholla, the 62-year-old man who claims to be the son of late President Mwai Kibaki, is indeed his biological son after careful examination.
In April 2022, Ocholla filed a lawsuit, claiming to be the late Kibaki’s firstborn son.
In his case before Justice Florence Muchemi in Nyeri, Ocholla requested that the court award him a portion of Kibaki’s vast wealth.
He expressed concern that he might be overlooked in the late Kibaki’s succession process and demanded a DNA test to determine whether he was conceived by the former Head of State.
Kibaki’s children, led by Judith Wanjiku and Jimmy Kibaki, declined a DNA test that Ocholla’s lawyer Morara Omoke was pushing for in order to confirm his client’s identity.
Thaimuta discovered that the nose, forehead, eyelids, and lips perfectly resemble those of Kenya’s third President, Mwai Kibaki, in his forensic report filed at the High Court in Nairobi on January 19, 2023.
“I proceeded to examine the evidence in front of me and reached logical conclusions about the case.”
“I form the opinion that there is a significant similarity between the two individuals: Jacob Ocholla Mwai and Mwai Kibaki based on photo analysis,” Thaimuta wrote in his medical report.
Anatomical features analysis revealed that Ocholla’s body frame, facial expression, and sitting postures resembled the late President Mwai Kibaki.
“The craniofacial features and morphology of the nose, forehead, eyelids, and lips are distinctly identifiable.
“The cheeks and cheekbones are comparable. Eye blinking and sustained eye contact are similar. The baldness in the two photos is comparable. “Speech and lip movement are also similar,” he added.
