Sabina Chege, a newly elected member of parliament, urged President William Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, to lead the nation with humility and put an end to the sideshows.
Chege, who just joined Kenya Kwanza, urged Ruto and Gachagua to concentrate on their responsibilities as the nation’s leaders and stop pointing the finger at former Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga for their inability to follow through on their campaign pledges.
She advised the pair to follow in the footsteps of the late departed president Mwai Kibaki, who left a legacy by advancing Kenya without placing blame on the late Daniel Moi’s prior administration.
“Ruto and Gachagua ought to stop assigning blame. It’s high time they realized they were chosen to lead the nation.
“They will never advance if they keep staring in the side mirror. She suggested that they concentrate on creating the future.
She asked Kenyans to respect the Head of State despite the fact that he had previously vowed to serve everyone.
