After a young man named Kevin Mboya traveled all the way from Nairobi to Kwale to surprise his fiancée with flowers on her birthday, social media exploded in outrage.
He made the decision to refrain from texting or calling his girlfriend for the past 24 hours so that she would believe he had forgotten about her birthday before he surprised her at work.
Kevin posted pictures of the roses he was giving his fiancée on Twitter along with the message, “I’ve traveled all the way from Nairobi to Kwale to come and surprise her on her birthday.
“She could believe I forgot it was her birthday because I haven’t texted or contacted in the last 24 hours. Just outside her workplace, I’m waiting to surprise her. I wish it success.
Netizens raced to his timeline to inquire about the success of his flower delivery, which caused his tweet to go viral.
Later, it was revealed that his lover had gotten a better man and had dumped him on WhatsApp.
