According to reports, Anthony Joshua and American heavyweight Jermaine Franklin have reached an agreement to fight at the O2 Arena on April 1.

Having lost his WBA, WBO, and IBF titles to Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021, Joshua hasn’t competed since his defeat in August 2022.

To return to the top of the heavyweight division, Joshua will face Franklin in a contest that he must win.

Joshua and Franklin have agreed on the fight’s financial terms, and they will sign the official papers later on Monday afternoon, according to Mail Online.

On April 1, the two heavyweight fighters will square off at the O2 Arena in London.

Franklin will be attempting to avenge his loss to Whyte in November 2022, while Joshua will be seeking to reestablish his superiority in the heavyweight category.
