Miss Wales, a beauty queen, was gravely hurt in a terrifying vehicle accident and sent to the hospital right away.
Darcey Corria, 21, was a participant in the accident that shut down a portion of the M4 for many hours near Bridgend, in south Wales.
According to reports, the collision caused her to break two bones in her neck and pelvis.
She has been sent to Cardiff’s University of Wales Hospital for medical attention.
“Event organizers at Miss Wales, as well as her family, are hopeful and certain that she will still be able to do this thanks to the great team of medics at UHW and her own personal tenacity,” a representative for Miss Wales said.
Ms. Corria, who was crowned Ms. Wales 2022 in May, will compete in the 71st Miss World competition in just 4 months.
The M4’s eastbound lane between junctions 35 (Pencoed) and 36 (Sarn) was the scene of a major traffic incident, according to South Wales Police, which was reported around 6 p.m.
“Due to the seriousness of the collision, it was necessary to entirely stop the highway while investigations were underway.
The University Hospital of Wales has received a female patient with what are being considered critical injuries.
