Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist, is threatening to file a lawsuit against a Jamaican private investment company after more than £10 million vanished from his account.

His attorneys claim a review of his account earlier this month found he had only been left with a meager £9,700 after what they described as a possible fraud.

The retired sprinter reportedly gave the company a 10-day deadline to refund the money. When he was active, estimates of his earnings per season exceeded £20 million, according to reports in Jamaica.

According to Bolt’s attorney, Linton P. Gordon, “The account was part of Bolt’s retirement and lifelong savings.”

For anyone, and especially for Mr. Bolt, who created this account as a component of his private pension, it is terrible news.

If true, which we hope is not the case, he continued, “Our client has been the victim of a serious act of fraud, theft, or a combination of both.”

A number of Stocks & Securities Limited customers allegedly reported missing money. According to the business, the Financial Services Commission of Jamaica is looking into it.
