Deputy President William Ruto and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) brigade have been accused of cheating the recently-concluded election in the Mt. Kenya area, according to Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni.
In a statement, Kioni, who was defeated by a UDA candidate for the Ndaragwa parliamentary seat, said that the “Yellow Wave” was a hoax.
For the record, let everyone know that the Mount Kenya region, including neighboring areas like Bungoma, Taita Taveta, and Kisii, did not experience the “Yellow Wave.”
“These assertions are utterly false. They believe even dogs can smell a tsunami coming, but there was no infrasound of the supposed wave, Kioni said.
“It is with great concern that I note how seriously tainted the electoral process was. We have learned of a significant covert rigging plot that occurred in the 33 Mount Kenya constituencies for the parliamentary elections,” Kioni continued.
Additionally, the party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta claimed that it had received reports from its agents alleging “voter bribery, voter intimidation, the display of UDA campaign materials within the precincts of polling centers, and the mistreatment of Jubilee Party and Azimio party agents by the presiding officers by denying them access to the polling stations on time.”
