Even after his retirement following the election on August 9th, President Uhuru Kenyatta has insisted that he is not leaving.

When more than 22 million Kenyans cast their votes on Tuesday to elect their fifth President, Uhuru, who has held office for two terms of five years, is anticipated to step down.

Uhuru said goodbye to the people of Mount Kenya in an interview with Kikuyu FM stations on Sunday, but he insisted that he would remain in power.

Uhuru declared he would support Raila Odinga, the country’s fifth president, in fulfilling out his duties and making sure Mount Kenyans were fairly represented in the Azimio government.
