Deputy President William Ruto, according to Azimio One Kenya Alliance Executive Director Raphael Tuju, received sizable compensation in 2013 and 2017 to back President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Tuju emphasized that, contrary to what he claims in public, the DP never knowingly supported the President in an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday.
“He was paid. Let the residents of Mount Kenya not believe that Ruto backed Uhuru voluntarily; he is a person who engages in blackmail. I can demonstrate how in front of a court of law,” Tuju stated.
Although the Cabinet Secretary without a portfolio withheld many specifics, respected political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi said that Ruto had been bought off by the Kenyatta family for Sh 5 billion.
This may now provide Kenyans with an explanation for why DP Ruto has been giving millions of dollars to churches every weekend.
