When his tenure ends in August, President Uhuru Kenyatta has reiterated that he will never cede control to Deputy President William Ruto.
Yesterday, as he was commissioning projects in Nairobi, Uhuru made it clear that he would only transfer authority to Raila Odinga of the Azimio party.
To ensure a seamless transfer of power in August, he urged Kenyans to support Raila to the very end, claiming Baba had their best interests at heart.
Heshima: “Na ninawaomba nyinyi kwa heshima… And I sincerely beg you… the one I will give to remain none other than Raila Amollo Odinga, Uhuru added, “yule ambaye mimi nitapatia aendelee naye iwe sio mwingine isipokuwa.”
Uhuru further criticized his estranged deputy for saying that he should only concentrate on retiring before the presidential election on August 9.
He pledged to carry out his responsibilities in accordance with the constitution until the very end of his term as premier while rallying support for the outgoing leader.
“Uhuru is always mentioned when people are speaking at rallies, but I won’t be on the ballot. I’m not trying to get votes.
