William Ruto, the presidential candidate for the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, has urged both President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga not to steal his election in August.
Ruto stated he has received rumors that Uhuru and Raila Odinga’s men have devised a scheme to rig him out of the August 9th presidential election while speaking at a campaign event in Nyamira town on Thursday.
We won’t allow ourselves to be shortchanged by a few opportunistic people trying to control this nation’s future from Nairobi hotels, Ruto declared.
The DP made his comments in response to allegations of a plan to steal Ruto’s votes made on Facebook by Kapseret Oscar Sudi and his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa.
According to Sudi, the government, through the ICT ministry, employed IT specialists to attempt to hack into the IEBC’s servers in August and modify the results in Raila’s favor.
According to Barasa, the government intends to rig the election in favor of Raila Odinga using parallel BVRT Kits.
The two assured each other that they are on the lookout and will prevent such from happening.
