William Ruto, the vice president, has ordered Azimio la Umoja to choose a different presidential candidate to challenge him in the August elections.
Ruto stated that Raila Odinga must decide whether he will run for office during the Kenya Kwanza campaign in Western Kenya.
Former Prime Minister David Cameron was encouraged by Ruto to quit making demands of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
“Find a qualified candidate to run against us in the election. I want to make it clear to Azimio that you must decide whether you want to vote in this election.
Ruto declared, “IEBC is an independent institution; it cannot take orders from any candidate or politician.
Whether the IEBC used an electronic or manual register, the Deputy President claimed Kenya Kwanza was prepared for the general election.
Raila has demanded that the IEBC have both physical and electronic registers in case the former fails.
If the IEBC doesn’t comply with his demand, he even threatened to boycott the polls.
However, IEBC has now reassured him that if the electronic register fails entirely, a physical register will be used instead.
