President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor will be named in August, according to an opinion poll done by self-declared NRM general Miguna Miguna.
Miguna, who has more than 1.7 million followers on Twitter, polled Kenyans online about who they want to vote for as president in August.
Four individuals are running for president of Kenya: Prof. George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party, William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, former prime minister Raila Odinga of Azimio, and David Waihiga of the Agano party.
58 percent of the more than 55,000 Kenyans who took part in the poll backed DP Ruto.
With the backing of 28% of Kenyans, Raila finished in second, followed by Wajackoya and Mwaure with 11% and 2%, respectively.
