Ford Moses Wetangula, the leader of the Kenyan party, has vowed to file a lawsuit against Raila Odinga and his supporters for allegedly having business ties to a Greece-based company that got the contract to print and distribute ballots for the General Election scheduled for next month.
Allies of Raila alleged in a letter to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) that Wetang’ula was connected to the Greek company Inform Lykos (Hellas) SA Holdings, which the IEBC is supposed to have granted a Sh 3.1 billion contract to provide the ballots.
The team lead by Raila demanded that the organizations to which the letter was directed conduct thorough investigations of Wetang’ula’s interactions with the company.
Wetangula, however, asserted his ignorance of the alleged company and characterized the accusations as malicious in his defense.
The Bungoma Senator claimed to have given his attorney Ahmednassir Abdullahi instructions to manage the litigation that will be brought against the Azimio team.
“I have told SC Ahmednasir, also known as “The Mullah,” to file a lawsuit against ODM outlaws in order to put an end to their reckless insanity against Weta & KK. “Watajua hawajui!” said Wetangula on his Twitter profile.
