Azimio– Raila Odinga, a presidential candidate for the Kenya Alliance, and Martha Karua, his running mate, visited Kirinyaga County on Thursday to continue their recruitment efforts for their coalition.
Martha Karua and Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, who were among those in charge of organizing the protests, are from the county of Kirinyaga. The last event was held at Wanguru Stadium.
A video showing Raila and Karua’s motorcade going through Kerugoya town, however, has appeared online and received mixed reviews.
Residents declined to greet Raila Odinga and Karua, the leaders of the Orange Democratic Movement party, thus they were spotted waving towards trees and houses instead.
While Raila and Karua attempted to propagate the Azimio gospel in Kirinyaga County, the locals were occupied with their daily tasks.
This video shows Raila and Karua waiving at trees and homes while locals ignored their protests.
