Moses Wetangula, a senator for Bungoma County, is purportedly shown in a video plotting how to rig the presidential election on August 9.
Leaders of the Azimio La Umoja Alliance have disparaged Wetangula because they claim he has connections to the Greek company Inform Lykos SA, which obtained a contract to print ballots in Kenya. Wetangula is also a principal in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Leaders of Azimio assert that Wetangula has been meeting with corporate directors in an effort to tamper with the August 9 election.
East Suna Junet Mohamed, a member of parliament, claimed on Wednesday that Wetangula has been meeting with Wafula Chebukati, the head of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), to discuss ways to rig the election in Ruto’s favor.
However, we’ve determined that this is an old video that first surfaced online in 2019, just around the time Wetangula was implicated in the fake gold scam that cost a Dubai investor millions of dollars.
