Junet Mohamed, a representative for Suna East in the House of Representatives, has encouraged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to make sure that the presidential election on August 9 is free, fair, and verifiable.
Wednesday, Junet, who had accompanied former prime minister Raila Odinga for a number of Azimio campaigns, claimed that the Kenya Kwanza Alliance had devised a scheme to rig the election in favor of Deputy President William Ruto.
According to Junet, Moses Wetangula, a senator from Bungoma, persuaded the Greek company Inform P Lykos SA, which is in charge of printing the ballots, to smuggle 2 million ballots into Uganda.
We are aware of their plan, Junet stated, “They intend to smuggle pre-marked ballots into roughly 10,000 polling places in order to obtain about 2 million votes.”
“We are aware of what they are doing, and we have proof of it.
They aim to rig the election by working together with the corporation that prints the ballots, so it won’t happen. Junet stated.
