Unmarried female members of a church in South Africa underwent a virginity test, and those who passed were given certificates of virginity.
The test is reportedly intended to promote virginity among women in society.
In the northern region of Durban, South Africa, at Ebuhleni, sits the church known as Nazareth Baptist Church.
It was learned that the church offered free virginity tests to women who attend and are at least 18 years old.
The church conducts the exercise every year, and those who succeed are given a Certificate of Virginity at the conclusion.
The virgins also have a white purity mark applied to their foreheads.
The test for the 2022/2023 session was conducted this week and certificates were issued to the successful ladies.
The certificate was signed by the Leader of Nazareth Baptist Church and the specialist who carried out the test.
Photos shared online show the virgins smiling while posing with their certificates.
