The Azimio Brigade has once more expressed its confidence in its ability to establish the new administration before the end of August.
In an interview, the Azimio party, led by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, stated that they are almost certain that their candidate, Raila Odinga, will easily defeat William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza party in the August presidential election.
In the unlikely event that Ruto defeats Raila to win the presidency, Sifuna declared that he will immediately leave the nation.
The ODM Secretary-General claims that he is unable to reside in the nation while Ruto is in office. He would rather leave the country and go into exile than let the DP obliterate it.
Sifuna said he worries living in a country that is led by William Ruto and cited Ruto’s most recent comments in which he claimed to have nearly smacked President Uhuru Kenyatta following the tumultuous 2017 elections.
If he assumes power, this man is extremely dangerous. I Sifuna will have to hide in a different country if Ruto is elected president, I swear to you, because of his wrath,” he stated.
On the final day of his Mt. Kenya East trip, DP Ruto revealed that he nearly struck President Uhuru Kenyatta when the latter intimated that he wouldn’t run in the upcoming election after the Supreme Court invalidated his victory in 2017.
