After Mathare Jubilee Party candidate Kevin Mbuvi Kioko alias Bahati urged his supporters to back the Kenya Kwanza Alliance candidate in the Nairobi senate campaign, trouble is building inside the Azimio La Umoja Movement.
Bahati advised his followers in Nairobi to choose Bishop Margaret Wanjiru in the Nairobi senate campaign rather than Edwin Sifuna, a candidate for the Azimio party, in an interview with Milele FM on Wednesday.
Sifuna is disrespectful and conceited, according to Bahati, and his election as the senator for Nairobi must be halted.
The singer stated that Sifuna needs to apologize if he hopes to win the support of women.
By addressing his wife in a tweet, the ODM secretary-general, in Bahati’s opinion, went too far.
Bahati alleged that as soon as he brought up his wife Diana in politics, Mathare women told him they wouldn’t vote for Sifuna.
“Sifuna are rude, haughty, and contemptuous. How is it possible to elect such a person? As soon as he called my wife’s name, other women contacted to inform me that they would not be supporting him in the election. I would advise my followers to support all of the Azimio candidates, but to support Bishop Margaret Wanjiru in the Senate even though she is a member of the UDA. preferably someone who respects women.Sifuna is going to be defeated ,Bahati said”
