Angelica Sandie, a well-known socialite and TikToker from Zimbabwe, was stolen of all of her cash and other valuables and left stranded in Kenya for almost two weeks.
Sandie claims that on June 13th, she took a plane to Kenya to visit her internet partner, not realizing that he was a drug dealer.
Before Sandie made the decision to travel to Kenya to see her sweetheart, Alfred Bangura, they had been dating for six months.
According to her, the lover told her he was a Kenyan citizen when he was actually from Sierra Leone.
They were abducted by armed gunmen who were traveling in three automobiles while she and her partner were traveling to Mombasa.
A briefcase containing money was also taken by the robbers.
The only things she had left were the clothing she was wearing.
She was lucky to have her passport with her.
Her boyfriend also had knee injuries.
After posting videos pleading for help from well-wishers to pay for her flight back to Zimbabwe, Angelica Sandie was taken in by the Zimbabwean Embassy in Kenya.
She was given a ticket back to her country of origin by well-wishers who came through.
She thanked everyone who helped ensure her safe homecoming in a video that she shared not long after her home.
