Nick Cannon, a television host and actor, admitted that he has “failed badly” at monogamy.
The 41-year-old Cannon said he hasn’t always been faithful but is hoping he will settle down soon in an interview with Shelley Wade of New York City radio station 94.7 The Block.
The rapper, who is having his first child with model Bre Tiesi and is said to be expecting his second child with Abby De La Rosa, the mother of his youngest twins, said;
“I’ve tried monogamy and relationships so many times and failed terribly.
But God isn’t through with me yet. We’ll sort it out, I promise.
Wade questioned Cannon about the “deciding factor” for going back to the altar and made the comment, “because you don’t have a problem attracting women, for sure,” in response.
I’ve definitely had a couple mid-life crises, Cannon laughed in response to Wade’s subsequent question.
Added him;
I like the man I’m becoming, he said. And I think [I’d marry] someone who can support me and understands me. You’re powerful where they’re weak.
And if I can ever find someone who can hold me down despite my insanity, mayhem, and toxicity, that’s probably someone I could rock with for the rest of my life.
In Cannon’s illustrious romantic relationships, a wide variety of names appear, from his early to mid-aughts relationship with Christina Milian to a brief liaison with none other than Kim Kardashian in 2006 to a whirlwind romance with Mariah Carey in 2008 that quickly developed into marriage that same year.
His only union to date has been with the 52-year-old vocalist of “Fantasy.” Fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan were welcomed by the now-divorced couple in 2011.
But since settling his divorce from Carey in 2016, Cannon has reportedly started cycling quickly through a number of different women — and has fathered a large number of extra children.
Son Golden, age 5, and daughter Powerful Queen, age 1, are the comedian’s children with model Brittany Bell and DJ Abby De La Rosa, age 31. (9-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir). In addition, he had a son with the 28-year-old singer Alyssa Scott, albeit the child unfortunately passed away at the age of 5 months from brain cancer.
In addition, Cannon is thought to be the father of another child with De La Rosa, who just revealed she is expecting again, as well as with model Bre Tiesi, 31, with whom he is also expecting a child.
